Unit Star Level
Your Unit Star Level will offer an attack bonus, defense bonus, and a small HP bonus.
Check the Star Level
Hover the mouse cursor on your unit for a moment to reveal detailed information about it. Look at the picture, and you can see the number left of the yellow star is this unit's Star Level.
Star Level
Like Heroes of Might and Magic Ⅲ, units in Heroes of Might and Magic Online also have 2 forms. When they reach Star Level 3, they will upgrade to a new form and have most of their special unit skills.
When getting promoted, your unit will receive a 1% HP bonus. The effect towards attack damage and attack damage reduction is as follows:

How to get promoted
There are 2 methods for promotion
1. Grinding: When your Star EXP reaches 100%, your unit will get promoted.
2. When a unit dies, you will receive it's soul. Offer up a certain number of souls in your castle, and next time you can recruit a higher star level unit.
